A faithful woven reproduction of the Royal Green Jackets cap badge, carrying the battle honours earned across more than two centuries of service — from Copenhagen in 1801, through the Peninsular War, Waterloo, and the Somme, to El Alamein, Pegasus Bridge, and Afghanistan.
The design centres on the Maltese cross beneath the Peninsula scroll and Queen’s crown, flanked by a laurel wreath — the same insignia worn on the green beret by one of the British Army’s most storied light infantry regiments, formed in 1966 from the amalgamation of the 43rd/52nd, the King’s Royal Rifle Corps, and the Rifle Brigade, and later absorbed into The Rifles in 2007.
