At MattchPatch, we don’t just make clothes – we help people wear their passion. So, when the Great Britain Precision Rifle Association (GBPRA) approached us to design and supply their shooting jerseys for a major competition in the USA, we were all in. The brief? Bold, functional, and uniquely British – exactly the kind of challenge we love.
We kicked off by getting to know the team’s vibe. These guys and girls are precision shooters, so everything had to be spot on – from the fit to the feel. No distractions, no fuss. Just high-performance gear that looks the part and performs under pressure.
The design process was a mix of creativity and practicality. We started with the Union Jack as a central element, ensuring it wasn’t just slapped on there but was seamlessly integrated into the design. The jerseys needed to be recognisable as ‘Team GB’ at a glance, while still keeping it sleek and modern – clean lines, sharp angles, and a professional look that nailed the brief.
But this project was about more than just looking good. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and thanks to the GBPRA and the UK team, our Team Reece Gold Childhood Cancer Awareness Ribbon made it onto the world stage in America! The ribbon was proudly featured on the team jerseys, symbolising support for the 7,500 children who will lose their lives to childhood cancer this month. Raising awareness is the first step toward change, and we’re honoured to have played a part in this initiative.
This past weekend, the UK Team travelled to Colorado, USA, to compete in the 2024 IPRF World Championship – representing the UK on the global stage, both in competition and in the fight against childhood cancer. It was a true privilege to see our custom designs out there, helping the team stand out for all the right reasons.
